Temporary Housing Options Officer P/T

Salary: £24,785 - £26,320 pro rata annum maternity cover up to 1 year, 22 hours per week working, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit Housing Options Officers to help deliver and improve its Housing Options service. As a Housing Options Officer, your role will include daily contact with customers that require housing advice, are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

A key part of the role will be the prevention of homelessness and working with customers to remain in their homes or to assist them in finding accommodation elsewhere. Working with other agencies and negotiating with key stakeholders will be a key part to success in the role.

Senior Refuse and Street Cleansing Team Leader

Salary: £27,001 - £28,587

An opportunity has arisen within the Waste and Recycling section for a second, permanent Senior Refuse and Street Cleansing team leader. You will work alongside the other Senior Team Leader and the Refuse and Cleansing Manger to provide support for the Waste and Street Cleansing Services.

The successful candidate, in conjunction with the management team, will provide effective, hands-on operational supervision for the day to day management of the refuse and street cleansing service. In addition, you will also help to deliver Health and Safety training and development packages (including comprehensive staff inductions).

Gardener Team Leader

Salary: £20,925 to £22,302

We are looking to recruit a Gardener Team Leader to work as part of the Borough’s Grounds Maintenance Team based at Kimberley Depot.

You will be responsible for leading one of the maintenance teams. Work will involve a full range of amenity horticultural work including maintenance of parks, open spaces, highway verges, cemeteries and other landscaped areas.

Housing Grants Officer

Salary: £27,001 - £28,587

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to process Disabled Facilities Grants, along with any other type of housing grant the Council may offer. Ideally we are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge and understanding of housing construction, with attention to detail and a caring and compassionate outlook. A fair but firm approach is often required to ensure the grant projects progress smoothly and deliver the necessary adaptations to enable our residents to remain safely at home.

An excellent communicator is a must, the post holder liaises with a wide range of people including Occupational Therapists, Architects, Contractors and residents during the grant process.

Housing Neighbourhood Coordinator

Salary: £24,785 - £26,320

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Coordinator to help deliver and improve its Housing Neighbourhood Management Service. As a Neighbourhood Coordinator, your role will include daily contact with customers and you will assist them with their housing and tenancy issues.

You will manage tenancies and tenancy issues, an anti-social behaviour caseload and you will also manage a patch neighbourhood within the Borough. The key focus of the team and the role is to improve the quality of neighbourhoods, to sustain tenancies, to effectively engage with customers to improve housing services and to deal effectively with issues of anti-social behaviour that may arise.

Cleaner P/T - Independent Living

Salary: £18,888 pro rata per annum 18 hours per week

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit a new cleaner to join our Housing Operations Team.

We are looking for a cleaner to assist in delivering the services to our customers who live in our Independent Living Schemes. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all the communal areas within the schemes, including corridors, kitchen, guest room and lounge are kept clean to enhance the living environment for our residents.

You will be required to adhere to health and safety procedures in relation to cleaning, manual handling and working with cleaning chemicals.
