Following days of ill health, and constant supervision by medical professionals, her majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, has sadly passed away at 96 years of age.
Her Majesty’s reign started in the year of 1953 following her succesion of her father, King George VI, who had reigned from 1936 following his own brother’s abdication of the throne. In her 68 years of reign over the United Kingdom and its four nations, the Queen has overseen 15 different prime ministers during that time, with the latest being Liz Truss who was voted leader of the Conservative and Unionist party, and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom recently.
Earlier last year, the Queen’s beloved husband, Prince Phillip, passed away following a battle with his own health - leading to days of mourning for the nation, and celebrations of the prince’s life being broadcasted publicly across the kingdom.
We are extremely sorry to hear of the news of her majesty’s passing, and can only extend our deepest commiserations to her family at this time.
Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth, is expected to be coronated as the new monarch of the United Kingdom in due course.
